Such blogs should be on the front page of any publication and curated by Medium. My mum has recently been diagnosed of lung cancer and she never ever smoked in her life. A third generation lung cancer medicine which needs to be imported in to India, costs £6000 per month for 30 tabs. This would need to go on till the patient survives. We are pretty well off but no where near to bein able to afford this medicine. Only the super rich in India can afford this. So we are going with a cheaper second generation medicine that costs £500 a month. The first generation which is even less effective but cheaper costs £100 a month. Unfortunately, in a place like India, a majority of the population can not even afford £100 a month and are sent home to die.
